Brigitte Beraha - vocals and piano George Crowley - saxophones & clarinet
Born in Milan to a Turkish father and Turkish-British mother, Beraha grew up on the Côte d’Azur in France. This musical, multinational and multilingual upbringing combined to inspire and mould one of the most creative vocalists and composers on the UK scene.
Embracing a wide variety of music influences and genres, from jazz and latin to classical and, more recently, electronic, Beraha’s sound is free and fluid with an emphasis on exploration and expression.

Brigitte has worked with an extensive list of established artists and musical luminaries, having performed and/or recorded with Kenny Wheeler, Yazz Ahmed, Ethan Iverson, Mandhira de Saram, The BBC Concert Orchestra, Evan Parker, Stan Sulzmann, Huw Warren, Jason Rebello, Gwillym Simcock and many more.
Beraha has also been involved in a number of cross-genre projects such as the recreation of Basil Kirchin’s music as part of Hull City of Culture 2017 with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the re-imagining of Eddie Parker’s 12-piece Debussy Mirrored Ensemble, and Raising Hell with Henry Purcell led by Ethan Iverson at Kings Place in 2018.
George Crowley is active across a range of styles; whether infusing melodic through-composed writing with open, searching improv in his own Can of Worms, channelling fiery avant-parade ghosts in Brass Mask, weaving through the polyrhythmic Ghanaian trance of Vula Viel or exploring more traditional repertoire, Crowley's energy and expressive, warm saxophone sound mark him out as a musician who demands attention.
playing with bands and musicians such as Melt Yourself Down, Julian Argüelles' Septet, Yazz Ahmed, Red Snapper, the Michael Chillingworth Septet, Rick Simpson's Klämmer and the Olie Brice Quartet featuring Jeff Williams. Outside of the world of jazz and improvised music he has worked with artists such as Boy George and Culture Club and Mount Kimbie.

Vocalist and Songwriter Rosalie Genay divides her time between London and the second most ordinary town in The Netherlands from where she is currently collaborating on several international projects.
2020 will see the release of two exciting albums: ‘For The Love of Annie’, a jazz collaboration with Scott Hamilton, Barry Green, Dave Green and Steve Brown and 'In Between The Silence', a debut offering of original material with London based guitarist Francesco Lo Castro.
The long awaited albums follow the acclaimed release of ‘Realms’, a personal take on the work of Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen and subsequent UK tour with pianist Rebecca Nash.
Barry Green’s star is rising high on the European Jazz scene. He has accompanied, led and recorded with many of the world's leading Jazz artists including: Dave Friesen, Bobby Watson, Perico Sambeat, Charles McPherson, Deborah Brown, Ben Street, Drew Gress, Chris Cheek, Tom Rainey, Gerald Cleaver, Stan Sulzmann and many more.

The duo “DOIS” is born from passion for Brazilian music. The beauty of Brazilian music offered with specially written arrangements for voice, guitar, percussion and much more! Colours, sounds and rhythms that convey the expression of feelings that make this great contemporary music genre truly unique.
Drummer, percussionist and composer, Francesco Petreni has played with many musicians, among whom are Marc Johnson, Jonny Griffin, Palle Danielsson, Mal Waldron, Eddie Henderson, Claudio Roditi, Cameron Brown, George Cables, Bill Smith, Tony Scott, Guinga, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu..participating in International Festivals around the world including and concerts in Cuba and Brazil.
He is on more than sixty recordings also with Enrico Pieranunzi trio, Avishai Cohen, Eddie Henderson, Eddie Wied, David Links, Paolo Fresu, Luca Flores, Ares Tavolazzi, Furio Di Castri, Stefano Bollani, Maria Pia de Vito, Kim Prevost, Bill Solley, Gabriele Mirabassi, Fabrizio Bosso, and brasilian music with Dadi, Marisa Monte, Ivan Lins, Hamilton De Holanda, Barbara Casini, Gilson Silveira, Marivaldo Paim.
Singer, Jazz vocalist and composer Maria Laura Bigliazzi, has been active on the jazz scene, since 1994, as leader of her own formations. She has been singing and playing Brazilian Music for years, also playing percussion. She has had many musical partnerships including with: Tony Scott, Ares Tavolazzi, Gianni Basso, Stefano De Bonis, Raffaello Pareti, Renato Chicco, Mauro Grossi, Stefano "Cocco" Cantini, Francesco Petreni, Roberto Nannetti, Simone Graziano, Marco Tamburini, Ettore Bonafè and more. She also recorded with: Fabrizio Bosso, Stefano Cantini, Alberto Borsari, Bruno Cesselli, Luciano Biondini, Ares Tavolazzi, Marivaldo Paim, Gilson Silveira, Hamilton De Holanda, Mauro Grossi, Daniele Mencarelli, Alessio Menconi.

Michael Kanan hails from Boston, Massachusetts where he first began to play the piano at age 7. He started improvising at the keyboard early on, and by age 10 he was listening to jazz. His first instructor was pianist Harvey Diamond, a student of jazz innovator Lennie Tristano. During his years at Boston College, Michael had the opportunity to perform with several jazz greats including Tal Farlow, Lee Konitz, Al Cohn, and Alan Dawson. After graduating college and doing some freelance work around Boston, he moved to New York in 1991 to study with another Tristano student, the pianist Sal Mosca. He established himself in New York, playing and recording with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Mark Turner, and Jorge Rossy, among others. He also developed a growing reputation as a vocal accompanist. In 1996, he joined the band of legendary singer Jimmy Scott, touring the US, Europe, and Japan and recording 4 CDs. In 2001, Michael became the accompanist and arranger for one of today's most celebrated vocalists, Jane Monheit. With Ms. Monheit's group, he has toured all over the world, recorded several CDs and DVDs, and made many TV appearances, including The David Letterman Show and The Conan O'Brien Show.
When not on the road with the Monheit band, Michael performs and records with his own groups. He has made two trio recordings for Barcelona's Fresh Sound New Talent label: "Convergence" and "The Gentleman Is A Dope", both featuring bassist Ben Street and drummer Tim Pleasant. He has also recorded a duet with his longtime collaborator, alto saxophonist Nat Su, entitled "Dreams And Reflections". He can be heard around New York with his trio featuring guitarist Greg Ruggiero and bassist Neal Miner.

Lew Tabackin moved to New Jersey and then to New York in 1965, where he played first with Tal Farlow and Don Friedman and later in the big bands led by Cab Calloway, Les and Larry Elgart, Maynard Ferguson, Joe Henderson, Chuck Israels, Thad Jones and Mel Lewis, Clark Terry, and Duke Pearson. During the late 1960's he led a trio at a club called La Boheme in Philadelphia, in addition to playing in smaller groups with Donald Byrd, Roland Hanna, Elvin Jones, and Attila Zoller. In those early years he worked with Doc Severinsen and the studio band for Dick Cavett's television show. He also spent some time in Europe, where he was a soloist with various orchestras, including the Danish Radio Orchestra and the Hamburg Jazz Workshop.
In 1968 he met Toshiko Akiyoshi when the two played together in a quartet. They eventually married and moved to Los Angeles, where they formed the award-winning big band known as the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra. While in Los Angeles, Mr. Tabackin also played with Shelley Manne and with various trios of his own with Billy Higgins, John Heard, and Charlie Haden.
During the 1980's he began to get some long overdue recognition as a flutist, winning many DownBeat critic's and reader's polls. In 1982 Mr. Tabackin and Ms. Akiyoshi moved to New York, which brought him back to the Manhattan jazz scene. Since then he has solidified his position as a major tenor saxophone and flute artist, both in live concerts and on recordings. In 1990 Mr. Tabackin released his first disc for Concord,
Desert Lady, featuring Hank Jones, Dave Holland, and Victor Lewis, followed by the acclaimed I'll Be Seeing You with Benny Green, Peter Washington, and Lewis Nash. In 1994 the same group recorded What a Little Moonlight Can Do. Mr.Tabackin has also been associated with several all-star bands, including George Wein's Newport All-Star Band, the New York Jazz Giants, and the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band.
Boris Kozlov, born in Moscow , USSR, is a 2 times Grammy Award winning acoustic and electric bassist, composer and arranger, has been on New York and international jazz scene for the past 25 years. Currently serving as a Bassist, Arranger and Musical Director for Mingus Big Band, Mingus Dynasty and The Orchestra, as well as leading his own projects and the collective OPUS 5, he has also been a first-call bassist for such important jazz acts as Michael Brecker, John Blake , Ray Barretto's 'New World Spirit', Lew Tabackin, David Kikoski, Alex Sipiagin, Jean -Michel Pilc, John DiMartino, The Manhattan Transfer and many others.
Kozlov’s playing and arranging is on 9 Grammy nominated albums plus the Grammy winning Eddie Palmieri’s 'Simpatico' -in addition to the other160 albums. Having few of his big band scores published, Boris continues to serve as a Musical Director for all of the Mingus Dynasty projects winning a Grammy in 2011 for 'Live at The Jazz Standard' album, touring and recording extensively with multitude of different bands ,as well as doing international work with his own "Malfunction Alibi".
